TAMPA, FL – July 24, 2025KeriCure Medical, a leading innovator in advanced wound care solutions, is proud to announce the launch of a new product designed specifically for elderly patients – Advanced Shield® Chronic Wound Barrier.

KeriCure Medical has developed a product specific to the skin and wound care needs of elderly patients with this new formula, capable of addressing minor concerns of skin tears, and peri skin protection, to use in skin ulcers and pressure injuries. “Advanced Shield Chronic is our latest product to launch in the advanced wound care space, and I am so excited to have something developed specifically designed to support the thinner, more fragile skin of elderly patients to help heal,” says Dr. Kerriann Greenhalgh, Founder & CEO of KeriCure Medical. “This advanced wound care formula contains no harsh chemicals or abrasive glues that do more damage to elderly skin than help. We are excited to showcase this product throughout long term care and home health care facilities this year, as a solution for improved patient care and a new tool to help minimize infection in this patient population,” says Dr. Greenhalgh.

Advanced Shield Chronic Wound Barrier was submitted for and has now received the Medicare/Medicaid Healthcare Common Procedure Coding System (HCPCS) reimbursement code of A6248 for Durable Medical Equipment (DME), as described below:
