ADVANCED HEALING WITH NANOPOLYMER TECHNOLOGY
KeriCure’s Advanced Products were featured at the 2019 American Academy of Dermatology meeting
Invented by a PhD organic chemist, Dr. Kerriann Greenhalgh founded KeriCure after being personally affected by inadequate wound care when her husband’s small cut resulted in a serious MRSA (resistant Staph) infection that required surgery to treat. After her husband almost lost the use of his hand from a simple cut, Dr. Greenhalgh became determined to create an effective wound care solution that and protects against germs and ultimately enhances the natural healing process without using harsh chemicals and solvents.
With this goal in mind, Dr. Greenhalgh set out to develop a range of soothing, sting-free and breathable wound care products ideal for use in the by both professional medical staff as well as products for use at home to enhance healing and prevent infections. After graduating with her PhD from the University of South Florida (Go Bulls!), Dr. Greenhalgh set out to optimize technology she worked on in graduate school in order to develop the perfect wound care product that would be safe for use on anyone, including people with skin sensitivities and allergies to traditional bandages and wound dressings. The result is KeriCure’s Advanced skin and wound care product line (with lots more to come!), designed specifically to mimic the natural elasticity and barrier properties of the skin – providing a comfortable barrier that allows the body to move and heal naturally.
